Doobie Award for January 2006 - Thomi Wilson!

From doobieawards.myadventures.orgWe have a remarkable crowd at AIM, who performs extraordinary events on a regular basis (along with events they would rather forget). Shepherd Services being what it is, always desires to acknowledge those stellar folks, so we will be having a monthly doobie award. This is a tongue-in-cheek award--something to help us to grin.We recognize that all at AIM are involved with serious ministry around the world. Once in awhile weneed to stop and grin.Hence, the Doobie Awards.

After much consideration and deliberation here in GA, we are proud to announce the Doobie Award Winner of January. Thomi Wilson is our stellar player, for an extraordinary feat which he would prefer to forget. Thomi wins the January Doobie Award for best smelling staffer. He wins this award for removing 500 gallons of...hmmm...what shall we call it...ahem...septic tank contents at the Gateway by hand, using a 5-gallon bucket. Way to go, Thomi!

The attachment is a family photo of the Wilsons in one of their less...ahh...fragrant times. Feel free to congratulate Thomi personally at thomiwilson@adventures.org, adding birthday salutations for his 40th birthday.

You can nominate any AIM staffer for meritorious service by sending me you nomination. All nominations for that month will be reviewed by AIM's Doobie Award Committee-Scott Borg, Joe Rogers, and Mary Beth Swan via email to me at marybethswan@adventures.org. If your nomiation is that month's winner, your story will be shared with the staff. We are looking forward to some great stuff from everyone. Have a great weekend.

Doobie Award for December 2005 - Claud Crosby!

From doobieawards.myadventures.orgNow that we have the Doobie Award up and running, I'd like to announce the Doobie Winner for December. Claud Crosby (photo attached) from the Swaziland Base has been nominated by Scott Borg for killing a bull with a spear for the orphans' party there in Swazi. Scott said the event was not like the Running of the Bulls in Pamploma, but was an event in its own right of great courage, aim (pardon the pun), and maybe some healthy high-competition genes.

While we wanted a photo of Claud with said bull, but alas, one was not available in time for the award publication. Claud, Mary, and Nondomiso are pictured in your attachment.

Congratulations, Claud. We're glad the bull did not win! You can send him kudos yourself at claudinswaziland@yahoo.com . Scott, thanks for the great nomination!
